GUERILLA ART AND MĀORI CULTURE

An outpouring of artistic mark-making adorned walls and redundant telephone exchange boxes around Brighton, as an expression of anger at Orca captivity - in particular around ‘Morgan’ the young Orca held by Loro Parque, Tenerife.

In addition, the plight of New Zealand’s few remaining Maui’s Dolphins - the most endangered dolphin in the world - was championed on the festival’s main stage by representatives from Māori culture, the Ngāti Rānana London Māori Club. Their traditional Haka performance and other powerful dance and song was deeply moving.

We were lucky to work with Video Illusions who created a magnificent ambience around our main stage.
